The software will keep creating new versions of the same original track, For example: suppose you had a cool guitar track, via a usb connection to your computer, you could plug in, access the studio, create your guitar sound and record your riff. The next person could add a bass line in the same manor, then a drum track, and a vocal track. Each time someone adds a track a new version of the song is created.

However it leaves all the previous tracks as well, so you can go back and listen to other versions, or perhaps you decide you have a better bass line, you can add it and create a new song.
